{"id":709,"date":"2016-09-28T16:50:31","date_gmt":"2016-09-28T14:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.omt-triaca.com\/?p=709"},"modified":"2020-01-07T18:44:34","modified_gmt":"2020-01-07T17:44:34","slug":"falling-film-baudelot-cooler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.omt-triaca.com\/en\/falling-film-baudelot-cooler\/","title":{"rendered":"Falling Film Evaporator &#8211; Baudelot cooler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This type of cooler is usually used to cool the water of process close to\u00a0freezing (+ 1 \u00b0 C) when the involved powers are high.<\/p>\n<p>The system consists of inflated stainless steel plates assembled in batteries with\u00a0a special tray that distributes the water mist on the surface of the plates &#8211; where\u00a0inside circulates the cooling fluid &#8211; and forms a continuous film on the outside\u00a0of the plate.<\/p>\n<p>The distribution tray is fundamental and should ensure the uniformity of the\u00a0water film, which must have a constant flow rate and ends in the lower tank\u00a0where there is the pump attachment.\u00a0In this way, given the high descent speed, you get very high K transmission\u00a0coefficients.<\/p>\n<p>An opening system facilitates inspection and periodic cleaning to maintain\u00a0high efficiency of the system.\u00a0To maintain a constant flow there are additional attachments to connect one or\u00a0more recycling pumps between the collecting tank and the distribution tray.<\/p>\n<p>Note: <em>The Baudelot cooler or Falling Film is a system with a very high m2\u00a0performance.
